Ari Dassa is a writer, director, editor, and producer born and raised in Los Angeles. His objective as a filmmaker is to create engaging, unique genre films with identifiable characters, relatable themes and dynamic set-pieces that will entertain and provoke a wide audience. Dassa’s feature scripts have been a Finalist for the Screencraft Sci-Fi & Fantasy Contest in 2019, three times a Screencraft Fellowship SemiFinalist in 2021, 2017 and 2015, a Nicholl Quarterfinalist in 2015 and Fade-In Semifinalist in 2015, and his Short Film scripts have been twice a Semifinalist for the Screencraft and Bondit Short Film Grant in 2017 and 2016.  Dassa has also written two Pilots and directed a feature documentary.  His primary genres are science-fiction, action and drama.

Storytelling is Ari’s passion, and aside from movie-making, his photography projects allows him to continue to explore visual mediums with portraiture and stylized, cinematic imagery.
